LIABILITY FOR MISHREH (Yerushalmi Perek 6 Halachah 1 Daf 27a)

îùðä øàùåðä òã ùéùúä øáéòéú ééï:

(a)

(Mishnah): Mishnah Rishonah said that one is liable only if he drinks a quarter Log of wine.

ãäååï ãøùéï ùëø îä ùëø ùðàîø ìäìï øáéòéú àó ëàï øáéòéú

(b)

They used to expound "Shechar" - just like Shechar said there (for Bi'as Mikdash) is a Revi'is, also here it is a Revi'is.

çæøå ìåîø ìà éàëì ìà éùúä îä àëéìä ëæéú àó ùúééä ëæéú.

(c)

They retracted to say "Lo Yochal... Lo Yishteh" - just like Achilah is a k'Zayis, also drinking is a k'Zayis.

øáé ò÷éáä àåîø àôéìå ùøä ôéúå áééï åéù áä ëãé ìöøó ëæéú çééá.

(d)

(Mishnah - R. Akiva): Even if he soaked his bread in wine and he ate a k'Zayis, he is liable.

àîø øáé çððéä åäåà ãùøééä áëæéú ééï

(e)

(R. Chananyah): This is if he soaked it in a k'Zayis of (pure, undiluted) wine.

øáé àéîé áùí øáé éåçðï ëåñ îæåâ îùåí îùøä ìå÷éï òìéå

(f)

(R. Imi citing R. Yochanan): A cup of mixed (diluted) wine, one is lashed for it due to Mishreh.

äãà ãàú àîø áùìà äúøå áå îùåí îùøä àáì àí äúøå áå îùåí îùøä ìà áãà

(g)

Limitation: [He is liable only for wine] when they did not warn him for it due to Mishreh, but if they warned him for it due to Mishreh, no (he is liable even for mixed wine).

ëúéá åëì îùøú òðáéí ìà éùúä àéï ìé àìà îùøú òðáéí îùøú çøöðéí îðééï

(h)

Question: It says "v'Chol Mishras Anavim Lo Yishteh." This teaches only Mishras Anavim. What is the source for soaked Chartzanim?

úìîåã ìåîø [ãó ëæ òîåã á] îùøú åëì îùøú ìøáåú ëì äîùøéåú ìîùøä

(i)

Answer: It could have said Mishras. Rather, it says "v'Chol Mishras", to include all soaked (Isurei Nazir) for Mishreh.

îùøú ééï áééï îöèøôéï îùøú òðáéí áòðáéí îöèøôéï îùøú òðáéí áééï îäå ùéöèøôå

(j)

Question: Mishras Yayin (something soaked in wine) and wine join. Mishras Anavim and grapes join. Does Mishras Anavim join with wine?

àëì çöé æéú ééï åçöé (ééï æéú îùøä àéðå) [ö"ì æéú îùøä - ñôø ðéø] çééá æä áôðé òöîå åæä áôðé òöîå ôèåø îôðé ùöéøó çééá

(k)

Answer: If one ate a half-k'Zayis of wine and a half-k'Zayis of: Mishreh [of grapes], he is liable. If he ate each by itself, he is exempt. The joining obligates him;

àëì ëæéú ééï åëæéú îùøä àéðå çééá àìà àçú æä áôðé òöîå åæä áôðé òöîå çééá ùúéí îôðé ùöéøó ìà éäà çééá àìà àçú:

1.

If one ate a k'Zayis of wine and a k'Zayis of: Mishreh (water in which grapes were soaked), he is liable only once (it is like one Achilah). If he ate each by itself, he is liable twice. When he joined them (mixed them together, this is like mixed wine, so) he is liable only once. We explained this like SEFER NIR.)
