6)[line 32]מדף טמאMADAF TAMEI- a garment that is Tamei (the Gemara assumes at first that this is referring to the Elyon of a Zav (see Background to Kerisus 18:2b:d) but later concludes that it is a garment that is Tamei mid'Rabanan - see below, entry #10 and #11)

7)[line 2]עורבOREV- a raven

9)[line 6]דבר שאין בו דעת לישאלDAVAR SHE'EIN BO DA'AS LI'SHA'EL

(a)When there is a doubt as to whether an object is Tahor or Tamei, if the object is found in a private, concealed place, it is judged to be Tamei (see Background to Nidah 2:10).

(b)This Halachah applies only if the thing that transfers the Tum'ah or the object that receives the Tum'ah is a Ben Da'as (i.e. has intelligence). If there is a doubt as to whether an object that was Tamei touched another object that was Tahor and no human was involved, or a child with no intelligence (according to the Halachah) was involved, the object that was Tahor remains so (since this case cannot be compared to the case of the Sotah woman, in which Bnei Da'as were involved, where she can be asked as to her status).

10)[line 9]בטומאה דרבנןB'TUM'AH D'RABANAN- we are referring to a garment that is Tamei mid'Rabanan, such as Bigdei Perushin Midras l'Ochlei Terumah or Bigdei Amei ha'Aretz Midras l'Perushin (see Background to Chulin 35:3)

11)[line 10]עלה נדףALEH NIDAF- a blowing leaf (the word "Nidaf" refers to something light, such as a leaf that is being blown; similarly, the word Madaf refers to "light" Tum'ah, i.e. mid'Rabanan)

14)[line 35]עונהONAH- a twelve-hour period (either night or day) [during which the Rabanan rule stringently that the woman (who did not check to insure that she was not bleeding) must assume that she had already begun menstruating]
