BRINGING BIKURIM A SECOND TIME (Yerushalmi Bikurim Perek 1 Halachah 7 Daf 5b)

(a)

(Mishnah): If one separated his Bikurim and sold his field, he brings and does not recite. The second (the buyer) does not bring from that species [from which the seller separated Bikurim]. From another species, he brings and recites;

R. Yehudah says, even from that species he brings and recites.

(c)

If one separated his Bikurim, and they were dissolved, pillaged, stolen, lost or became Tamei, he brings others in place of them and does not recite. The latter [Bikurim, if a Zar ate them b'Shogeg], he is not liable a Chomesh.

(d)

If they became Tamei in the Azarah, he shakes them out [of the basket, to shows that they are forbidden to Kohanim] and does not recite.

Question: What is the source that he is liable in their Achrayus until they reach Har ha'Bayis?

(f)

Answer: "Reishis Bikurei Admascha Tavi Beis Hash-m Elokecha" teaches that he is liable in their Achrayus until they reach Har ha'Bayis.

Answer: "Higadti ha'Yom" - he tells once. He does not tell a second time.

(R. Yochanan): (Our Mishnah taught that there is no Chomesh for the latter Bikurim.) I learn that this is an individual's opinion.

(R. Shmuel bar Rav Yitzchak): The second [Bikurim], one may even buy them in the market (for they are not real Bikurim).

Question: Do you consider them like Tosefes Bikurim (extra Peros of the same species), or Itur Bikurim (other species brought to accompany and beautify them)?

If you consider them like Tosefes Bikurim, they are exempt from Demai. If you consider them like Itur Bikurim, they are obligated in Demai.

(R. Chama bar Ukva citing R. Yosi ben Chaninah): If the Bikurim became Tamei, the baskets are given to the Kohanim, for it says "v'Lakach ha'Kohen ha'Tene mi'Yadecha" (in any case).

According to whom did we need [to teach the Seifa]? It is according to R. Yehudah;

Even though R. Yehudah said 'he recites and [the other] returns and recites', if one brought from one species and recited, and returned and brought from a different species, he does not recite.

(R. Yochanan): R. Shimon ben Yochai taught so - "v'Amarta... v'Samachta" - he says (recites) for the Simchah. (The primary Simchah is only the first time.)
