17 lines from the bottom: Hai dkatani hakoray... The Gemorah says that the lashon of the Mishnah is to teach R. Yose, not R. Yehudah. My question is, why?
It seems that Tosofot bring the same question, but I am having great difficulty understanding him. Can you help?

The word "ha'Korei" (as opposed to "Korei") implies that one is Yotzei only b'Di'avad. The Gemara understands that according to Rav Yehudah -- who is not Doresh "Hashme'a l'Aznecha" -- there is no reason for one to be Yotzei only b'Di'avad.
The Gemara therefore proposes that Rav Yehudah actually holds one is Yotzei even l'Chatchilah, and the Mishnah used the phrase "ha'Korei" only to let us know that Rav Yosi , who argues with Rebbi Yehudah, maintains that one is not Yotzei even b'Di'avad. If the Mishnah would have written "Korei," one would think that Rav Yosi agrees that one is Yotzei at least b'Di'avad.
