What is the meaning of "va'Ykan'u l'Moshe [ba'Machaneh]"?

1.

Rashi: They angered him. This is like "Kin'uni b'Lo Kel" (Devarim 32:21).

2.

Radak: This is like b'Moshe. Also "Haragti l'Fitz'i" (Bereishis 4:23, is like b'Fitz'i), "Lifneichem l'Charev" (Vayikra 26:7), "l'Mei Merivah" (Bamidbar 20:24). Kin'ah followed by the prefix Lamed is for the good - "Asher Kinei lEi'lokav" (ibid., 25:13), "Kano Kineisi la'Shem" (Melachim I, 19:14). Kin'ah followed by the prefix Beis is bad - "va'Ykan'u Vo Echav" (Bereishis 37:11), "Ki Kineisi ba'Holelim" (above, 73:3). The verse discusses Korach's [envy and] feud.

3.

Malbim: This refers to one group in Korach's congregation (also refer to 106:16:2:2) - Dasan, Aviram and the 250 Roshei Sanhedrin. They opposed the 70 Zekenim that Moshe chose; they were angry that Ru'ach ha'Kodesh did not rest on them. "Ba'Machaneh" shows that their envy was due to what Moshe did in the Machaneh - "va'Ya'asaf Moshe El ha'Machaneh Hu v'Ziknei Yisrael 1 " (Bamidbar 11:30).

1

The 70 were appointed and received Ru'ach "Sevivos ha'Ohel", not in the Machaneh! [Only] Eldad and Meidad remained in the Machaneh. Only afterwards, Moshe and the 70 gathered to the Machaneh (Bamidbar 11:24-26, 30)! Malbim's words require investigation. (PF)

What is the meaning of "l'Aharon Kedosh Hashem"?

1.

Radak: Also this is like b'Aharon. The verse discusses Korach's [envy and] feud. It is attributed to all of Yisrael, for they did not protest against them. Also, people from Reuven and 250 Nesi'ei ha'Edah were with Korach. He is called "Kedosh Hashem", for they said "Kol ha'Edah Kulam Kedoshim", and Moshe said "Asher Yivchar Hashem Hu ha'Kadosh" (Bamidbar 16:3, 7).

2.

Malbim: Korach opposed the appointment of Aharon to be Kohen Gadol "Kedosh Hashem."

3)

Why does the Mizmor discuss Korach's rebellion before the Meraglim (verses 24-26)?

1.

Malbim #1: This supports the opinion that Korach's rebellion was after Kivros ha'Ta'avah, and before the Meraglim 1 .

2.

Malbim #2: According to the opinion that Korach's rebellion was after the Meraglim, we must say that the Mizmor lists the sins in [increasing] order of severity and punishment. This is why Chet ha'Egel is put with the Meraglim, after Korach - they were more severe.

1

Refer to Bamidbar 16:1:8:3 and the notes there. (What is the support? Our Mizmor discusses also Chet ha'Egel before the Meraglim! - PF)
