What is a person who declares 'Harei alai Minchas Ma'afei Tanur' obligated to bring?
Why does the Torah address the person who brings the Korban Ma'afei Tanur, the Minchas al ha'Machavas and the Minchas Marcheshes directly ? in the second person, and the Minchas Soles, in the third person
Oznayim la'Torah: Because, whereas regarding the Minchas Soles, he brings the flour in its plain state (notwithstanding the fact that it is the preferred Korban) the other three he goes to the trouble of preparing them nicely, and Hashem responds accordingly 1
Oznayim la'Torah: As the Pasuk writes in Ashrei "Karov Hashem le'Chol Kor'av, le'Chol asher Yikra'ihu be'Emes".
Why does the Torah insert the (otherwise superfluous) word "Korban Minchah"
Menachos, 63a: To teach us that the Korban Ma'afei Tanur must comprise one Korban and not two. 1
What are the implications of "Ma'afeh Tanur"?
What is the difference between the way the Kohen add oil to theChalos and the way one adds it to the Rekikn (wafers)?
Rashi: The Chalos are mixed with oil; the Rekikin (wafers) are anointed (smeared) with oil. 1
Menachos, 75a: This is crucial, since we never find Chalos that are anointed and wafers that are mixed with oil.
How much oil does a regular Minchah require?
How many Chalos and how many Rekikin must the owner bring?
Rashi: All Menachos that are baked peior to the Kemitzah and where the Kemitzah is performed via breaking comprise ten Chalos or ten Rekikin.
What does the Kohen do with the leftover oil after he has anointed the wafers?
Rashi #1 (citing Menachos, 75a): Having anointed the wafers once, like a Greek 'Chaf' 1 , he anoints them again and again, until the Log is used up.
Rashi #2 (citing Menachos, 75a): After anointing the wafers once, the rest of the oil is distributed among the Kohanim who are serving on that day, to be eaten.
Refer to Sh'mos 29:2:151:1 & 29:2:152:1 and notes.
Why does the Torah write "ba'Shemen" twice?
Rashi: To teach that the second and third oils may be used for the Menachos. 1
Moshav Zekenim (citing Menachos 63b): R. Yehudah learns from this that one must bring all the loaves either as Chalos or as wafers. 2
QUESTIONS ON RASHI
Rashi writes that the second and third oils [that exude from the olive] may be used for the Menachos. What is the source for this D'rashah!
Riva and Moshav Zekenim: We extrapolate from "Kasis la'Me'or" 1 that Zach is required for the Menorah, but not for Menachos, like Rashi himself wrote in Tetzaveh. 2
Riva: "Kasis la'Me'or" teaches us that Menachos do not require 'Zach'; this is Machshir only the second oil. We need ba'Shemen ? ba'Shemen to be Machshir the third oil. Sifsei Chachamim - one might have thought that only Minchas Nesachim do not require 'Zach'. Ba'Shemen? ba'Shemen teaches about Minchas Nedavah.
