==========
(1) The Gemara relates that the total amount collected in the half-Shekel collection was 201 Kikar, and 11 Maneh. This is calculated as follows:
603,550 people gave a half-shekel each, which is equal to: 300,000 gave 100 Kikar 300,000 gave 100 Kikar
3,000 gave 1 Kikar
500 gave 250 Shekel = 10 Maneh
50 gave 25 Shekel = 1 Maneh
Total: 201 Kikar and 11 Maneh
(2) That is, one Kikar contains 60 Maneh, 1500 Sela, and so on.
(3) One Maneh is 1/60th of a Kikar. It contains 25 Sela, 50 half-Shekel, and so on. (4) This is the "Shekel" mentioned in the Torah.
