What is the Shevu'ah about?

1.

Refer to 2:7:1:1, 2:7:3:1.

2.

Rashi: It is upon the nations - Nebuchadnetzar's men. You saw Chananyah, Misha'el and Azaryah offer their lives to enter the furnace, and Daniel [was cast] in the lion's den for engaging in Tefilah, and the generation of Mordechai in the days of Haman.

3.

Malbim (Melitzah): Nefesh Shlomo saw that it cannot find its Beloved in its lifetime, only when it will die and it will separate from the body. Then Hashem reveals Himself to Tzadikim while the Nefesh is still in the body; both of them understand Hashem, and the Tzadik dies (Zohar). She puts an oath on Bnos Yerushalayim (bodily powers) that when they find her Beloved at the time of death (they sense Him first), they should tell her, for she is lovesick.

2)

What is the significance of finding her Beloved?

1.

Rashi: In the future, on the day of judgment, He will request you to testify about me - "Yitenu Edeihem v'Yitzdaku" (Yeshayah 43:9) (Avodah Zarah 3a).

2.

Seforno: It is via wonders that He will do among you, like the furnace (it did not burn Chananyah, Misha'el and Azaryah).

3.

Malbim: Refer to 5:8:1:3.

3)

Why does it say "Mah Tagidu Lo"?

1.

Rashi: Testify about me that due to my love, I became ill through harsh afflictions among you. Nebuchadnetzar will testify [that Chananyah, Misha'el and Azaryah refused to bow to the image]. Elifaz and Tzufar (Iyov's friends) and all Nevi'im of the nations will testify that I guarded the Torah.

2.

Seforno: What will you tell for Him, like "Asaya v'Simhaya... Shefar Kadamai Lehachvayah" (Daniel 3:32).

4)

Why does it mention that she is love-sick?

1.

Seforno: Tell Him that I am love-sick. This is like "vi'Yhavu Gishmehon Di Lo Yiflechun v'Lo Yisgedun l'Chol Elah Lahen lei'Lahahon" (Daniel 3:28).

2.

Malbim: Refer to 5:8:1:3.
