What do we learn from "uv'Hapilechem Es ha'Aretz b'Nachalah"?

1.

Rashi: In the future, Eretz Yisrael will be divided into 12 strips, unlike the first division in which large tribes received bigger portions, and small tribes received smaller portions. Two or three Shevatim were in the same strip (from east to west). Now, the portions will be equal, and like rows of a vineyard from west to east, like it explains at the end of the Sefer (Perek 48).

2.

Radak: This refers to Yerushalayim. It will be a Nachalah to all of Yisrael. The verse teaches how they will divide it ? for the Mikdash, Kohanim, Leviyim and Yisrael.

2)

What will be "Terumah la'Shem"?

1.

Rashi: A place to build this Beis ha'Mikdash in it. Malbim ? also this will be a strip 25,000 Kanim wide. It will be between Yehudah and Binyamin.

3)

Why does it say "Terumah la'Shem Kodesh Min ha'Aretz"?

1.

Malbim: Terumas ha'Kohanim will be the most Kadosh part (refer to 45:1:4:1).

4)

What are the length and width?

1.

Radak: The length is from east to west, and the width is from north to south. Malbim - each strip will be 25,000 Kanim wide, i.e.75 Mil. From Terumas ha'Nasi they will separate Terumas ha'Kodesh; it will be 25,000 by 25,000. It will be divided into three portions. One will be 25,000 by 10,000, for Kohanim. Har ha'Bayis and the Mikdash will be in the middle of it. Another strip the same size will be for Leviyim. The remaining 25,000 by 5,000 will pertains to Binyan Yerushalayim in the future. It will be for all of Yisrael, and its Migrashim (empty areas in front of the city without houses, fields or vineyards). Stam length is from east to west; from north to south is the width.
