Who is "Avdi"?

Rashi: My servant Yakov; he is unlike you.

Radak: This refers to Melech ha'Mashi'ach, like I explained (refer to 41:25:1:4). Malbim - he is called Avdi, for to merit Nevu'ah, one must prepare himself via Taharah heir, Kedushah and learning. This is what Bnei ha'Nevi'im did!

What is the meaning of "Esmach Bo"?

Rashi: I get support from him. Radak - this is a metaphor - like a king who leans on his faithful servant.

Malbim: He is unlike other servants, that the master is not sure that he will never rebel. I can rely that he will be faithful in his Emunah!

What is "Bechiri"?

Rashi: Yisrael are called so - "Ki Yakov Bachar Lo Kah" (Tehilim 135:4), "Lema'an Avdi Yakov v'Yisrael Bechiri" (below, 45:4).

Malbim: I chose and prepared him for Nevu'ah from the womb, like it says in Moreh ha'Nevuchim - "b'Terem Etzarcha va'Beten Yedaticha uv'Terem Tetzei me'Rechem Hikdashticha " (Yirmeyah 1:5).

What is the meaning of "Ratzsah Nafshi"?

Rashi: I put my Ru'ach on [Yakov] to inform his Nevi'im My secret.

How did He put Ru'ach on him?

Radak: "V'Nachah Alav Ru'ach Hashem" (11:2).

Malbim: I will put so much Ru'ach on him, that not only will it influence him - (refer to 42:1:6:3).
