Rashi: I feel illness in my head.

Radak: His head hurt. People in pain or lamenting often double their words - "Me'ai Me'ai Ochilah" (Yirmeyah 4:19). Malbim - he doubled his words to show intense pain

Malbim citing Mahari: Sometimes the head hurts due to the stomach. "Roshi Roshi" teaches that it was due to the head itself, e.g. an abscess in it.

Why did he tell the youth to carry him to his mother?

Malbim: He thought that his son told him, in order that they will carry him to his mother.
