Why do the verses discuss what hurt him, and how he died?

Malbim citing Mahari: This teaches that he truly died, and his Neshamah left. He did not merely faint - this does not occur to youths, and not due to headaches. It also teaches his mother's Bitachon in the Navi's word. She did not do any cure, and not even lie him on an illness bed until after he died 1 .

Why does Bitachon exempt from normal efforts to heal him? The Navi did not promise more than a viable son! (PF)
