Why did they take him to the king in Rivlah? Nebuchadnetzar came to Yerushalayim (verse 1)!
Radak (here and Melachim II, 25:6): The siege lasted a long time (two and a half years). Nebuchadnetzar went to Rivlah, in Eretz Chamas, and left his army besieging the city. When they conquered it, he was in Rivlah.
Radak (Melachim II, 25:6, citing a Midrash): Nebuchadnetzar never came to Yerushalayim; Nevuzaradan came. It says that Nebuchadnetzar came, because his fear was on Nevuzaradan, as if he stands in front of him. Nebuchadnetzar's image was on his chariot.
What is the meaning of "va'Ydaber Ito Mishpatim"?
Rashi: They confronted him about transgressing the oath 1 [Radak - and his rebellion and annulling the Bris 2 , like it says in Divrei ha'Yamim II, 36:13].
Malbim, from Nedarim 65a: Tzidkiyah had seen Nevuchadnetzar eat a live hare. Nevuchadnetzar made him swear not to reveal this. He later [permitted his oath and] revealed the matter.
Malbim (Melachim II, 25:6): It says [there] va'Ydabru (plural Ito Mishpat), for the officers confronted him about his rebellion. (Perhaps here it means that Nebuchadnetzar confronted him about all of these. - PF)
QUESTIONS ON RASHI
Rashi writes that the king went via a cave to Arvos Yerecho. It was 18 Mil (a Mil is about a kilometer) long (Bamidbar Rabah 2:9). How did they catch him?
Rashi (4): Hashem summonsed a deer to run on top of the cave, outside the city. Kasdim chased the deer, and when they reached the opening of the cave in Arvos Yerecho, they saw him and captured him. It says in Yechezkel (12:13) "u'Farasti Es Rishti Alav v'Nisfas bi'Metzudasi."
