What is the meaning of "va'Ha'avadti Gilulim"?

1.

Radak #1: They trusted in their idols to save them from the enemy, therefore it says [that Hashem will eradicate them], like it says about Bavel "Hovish Bel Chas Merodach... Chatu Giluleha" (Yirmeyah 50:2).

2.

Radak #2: This is a Mashal, like "uv'Chol Elohei Egypt E'eseh Shefatim" (Shemos 12:12).

3.

Radak citing Targum Yonasan: I will kill those who serve idolatry.

2)

Why does it specify Nof?

1.

Malbim: Their primary Avodah was in Nof.

3)

Will they not have a Nasi at all?

1.

Radak #1: For a long time they will not have one. This is like "v'Lo Yasefu Od Gedudei Aram" (Melachim II, 6:23). [It cannot mean forever,] for it says "after 40 years I will gather Egypt" (29:13).

2.

Radak #2: Indeed, they will never have a Nasi - "v'Lo Sisnasei Od Al ha'Goyim" (29:15).

3.

Malbim: Correct, for he (Pharaoh) was the head of [their] gods!

4)

What do we learn from "v'Nasata Yir'ah b'Eretz Egypt"?

1.

Radak: They will always fear other nations.

2.

Malbim: They will fear the waving of Hashem's hand over everything.
