Malbim: The verse depicts that he is like one whose time [to die] came. His Ru'ach, i.e. powers of the Ru'ach and Nefesh, are wrapped and hidden on him. Also his heart is confounded, for it sees that his time is near.

What is the meaning of "b'Sochi Yishtomem Libi"?

Rashi: It is an expression of closure and confusion, like "va'Eshev Sham Shiv'as Yamim Mashmim b'Socham" (Yechezkel 3:15), "va'Teshev Tamar v'Shomemah" (Shmuel II, 13:20).

Radak: The matter is repeated in different words.

Malbim: Also the heart, which is the place of life, is confounded, for it sees that his time [to die] is near.
