What is the connection between not hearing and crying b'Mistarim?
Chagigah 5b: In 'outer' places, "Oz v'Chedvah bi'Mkomo" (Divrei ha'Yamim I, 16:27), Hashem 'cries 1 ' only in a hidden inner place. However, regarding the Churban, even angels of Shalom [cry outside] - "Hen Er'elam Tza'aku Chutzah Mal'achei Shalom Mar Yivkayun" (Yeshayah 33:7).
Radak: If you do not hear this Nevu'ah that I say to you from Hashem, my (Yirmeyah's) soul will cry covertly, for I see your end. Crying covertly is worry.
Malbim: My (Yirmeyah's) soul will cry due to hidden matters, i.e. exile of the Shechinah and Chilul Kevod Hashem, which the Nefesh feels.
Michtav me'Eliyahu (5, p.447, from Be'er ha'Golah 4, DH vDa): All perfections apply to Hashem; there is no increase or decrease. His Simchah or crying is only from the aspect of what others receive from Him.
What is "Mipnei Gevah"?
Rashi: It is due to your grandeur, which will cease.
Rashi citing Chagigah 5b: It is due to the grandeur of Hashem's kingship, which was given to idols 1 .
Radak: This is like Ge'ah. It is due to your pride. You do not want to lower yourselves to hear Devar Hashem, like it says "Al Tigbahu" (verse 15).
Radak citing Targum Yonasan: Your honor will be taken from you.
Maharsha (5b): The text in the Gemara is 'was given to idolaters'! And one opinion there says 'due to the grandeur of Yisrael. An old Sefer says that these are the same; the grandeur of Yisrael is Hashem - "{Am Nosha ba'Shem}... va'Asher Cherev Ga'avasecha" (Devarim 33:29).
What is the meaning of "v'Damo'a Tidma"?
Radak: [My soul will cry covertly,] and my eye will shed tears openly, for I see that Hashem's herd was captured. Hashem was a shepherd for them, and now He abandoned them, for they did not heed Him. He left them to captors.
Malbim: My soul will shed tears internally.
Why does it say "v'Sered"?
