(Mishnah): If one appointed his wife to sell his produce or oversee his affairs, he can make her swear (that she did not embezzle money) whenever he wants;

R. Eliezer says, [even if he did not appoint her, he can make her swear] even about her thread [that she spins] or her dough [that she bakes].

(Gemara) Question: R. Eliezer said properly! What is Rabanan's reason?

Answer: If you will say so [that he can make her swear about her thread or dough whenever he wants], there is never Shalom in the house.

Question: If she broke Kelim, how do you consider her - like a Shomer Chinam, or like a Shomer Sachar?

Answer #1: Presumably, we consider her like a Shomer Sachar.

Rejection (and Answer #2): She is not even like a Shomer Chinam, for if you will say so [that she is liable for breaking Kelim through negligence], there is never Shalom in the house.
