The Kollel replies:
You are in good company, since the 'Hagahos ve'Tziyunim' (in the Oz ve'Hadar edition of the Gemara) makes the same comment as you. Presumably then, Tosfos were merely quoting the Gemara when they made that statement. Perhaps the words 'ke'de'Isa le'Kaman' were omitted from the text.
