The incident when Rav Yosef turns his back on Rav Huna seems difficult if it is referring the famous Rav Huna. He was in a previous generation and would have been much greater than Rav Yosef. How could Rav Yosef have done something disrespectful to him?
Do you agree? If so, then is it possible the Rav Huna is in fact Rav Huna bar Chiya that is mentioned in daf 31 of Bechoros who was slated to be made Rosh Yeshiva by Rabbah and Rav Yosef, but when they found out he was a tax collector they changed their minds. Rav Huna said he'd quit, so Rabbah accepted him but Rav Yosef didn't. So he would be a Rosh Yeshiva that Rav Yosef didn't feel compelled to show complete respect to. What do you think? Do any meforshim deal with this at all?

Sholom Rav,
The point you make is certainly a valid one, and your suggestion very apt, seeing as Rav Huna Bar Chiya, whose name does not appear often in Shas, appears a number of times in the next Few Dafim - together with Rav Yosef.
I did not find any comment regarding this in the Meforshim on the Daf, though admittedly, I did not search extensively. (see, for example, the foot of 116b and the top of of 117a).
