the gemara discusses r'safra that we say there he stopped because of shabbos and here he stopped because of melachos.and r' nachman ultimately says "the korban is coming on shigigas shabbos, and here it is coming on shigigas melachos". that is essantially the same thing. what is the difference between the hava amina and the eleh amar r' nachman?

R. Safra thought that the difference between Shigegas Shabbos (one Chatas) and Shigegas Melachos (many Chata'os) is determined by why he desists from performing the Melachah. In the case of the former, he desists when he hears the word 'Shabbos', the latter, when he hears the word 'Melachah'.
R. Nachman refutes that suggestion however, based on the fact that Shabbos and Melachos are one and the same thing (One is only Chayav for breaking Shabbos because one performed a Melachah, and one is only Chayav for performing a Melachah because it is Shabbos).
R. Nachman therefore ascribes the difference (not to what makes him desist, but) to the fact that Shigegas Shabbos entails one Shogeg (i.e. lack of knowledge that it is Shabbos), whereas Shigegas Melachos entails as many Shegagos as the Melachos that he performed.
And Rav Ashi and Ravina engage in a similar dialogue on Amud Beis.
