Question asked:
Since Ruth was bound by the Noachide laws, why did Naomi say that idolotary was forbidden?
Question,
The Kollel replies:
Ruth was converting at this time, and the law of conversion requires that the convert must be advised of all of the laws of the Torah even if they applied already. In addition, some of the details of the prohibition of idolatry differ between B'nei Noach and Yisrael.
