1)

How will He put his Kin'ah upon you?

1.

Radak: Via [the Kasdim], He will put his Kin'ah and anger upon you.

2.

Malbim: I will stand against you like a man has Kin'ah against his wife who was Mezanah under him.

2)

What will they do to you with anger?

1.

Radak: They will take vengeance on you.

2.

Malbim: "They will judge you b'Mishpeteihem" (24) ? this will be with anger.

3)

Why does it mention "Apech v'Aznayich"?

1.

Rashi: They are the glory of the face. They are a Mashal for the Kehunah and kingship.

2.

Radak: This is the punishment of a woman who is Mezanah under her husband. They remove her ears and nostrils ? the beauty of the face. Likewise, when they want to judge someone with anger, they remove his ears, nostrils and eyes. The nose is a Mashal for the king, like "Apech k'Migdal ha'Levanon 1 " (Shir ha'Shirim 7:5). The ears represent the Kohen [Gadol], who is audible to the ears when he enters the Kodesh - the gold bells [on his Me'il] ring. Yonason translates, your great one and dear one will be exiled.

3.

Malbim: I will punish you like a woman who is Mezanah under her husband. They remove her ears and nostrils to make her repulsive in the eyes of adulterers, for making her face brazen, and for tilting her ears to words of passion.

1

Radak: This is a Mashal for the king, for he is elevated above the entire nation. Also the nose is elevated above (sticks out from) the face.

4)

Who are "Acharisech [ba'Cherev Tipol]"?

1.

Rashi: The rest of the nation.

2.

Targum Yonasan: Your nation will be killed via the sword. Radak ? he holds that Acharisech is with respect to the head. If the Gedolim are called Rosh, the nation is called Acharis; it is opposite the head, like "Tov Acharis Davar me'Reishiso" (Koheles 7:8). The Gadol is the beginning of the nation; he goes out in front of them.

3.

Malbim citing Mahari: The custom is to disgrace a Zonah; they cut the bottom of her garment with a sword. This is the greatest disgrace ? her buttocks are exposed for constant shame!

5)

Why will they take your sons and daughters?

1.

Radak: They will take them for slaves and capture them ? "Nasan Banav Peleitim u'Vnosav ba'Shevis" (Bamidbar 21:29). Peleitim [are remnants] from the sword; normally the enemy does not kill minor boys and girls, rather, it captures them to raise them for slaves.

2.

Malbim: This corresponds to "v'Asu Osach b'Chemah" ? they themselves will punish you based on their anger, aside from My Mishpat; they will take your children captive.

6)

What is the meaning of "Acharisech [Te'achel ba'Esh]"?

1.

Rashi citing Targum Yonasan: The best of your land (which is Achrayus to rely on for income, fire will consume it).

2.

Radak: These are houses, which remain after a man dies ? "v'Es Kol Batei Yerushalayim v'Es Kol Beis Gadol Saraf ba'Esh" (Melachim II, 25:9).

3.

Malbim: They burned Beis Hashem and Beis ha'Melech. Hashem's Mishpat was to remove the beauty and cut off the Resha'im via the sword; they added Galus and burning the Beis ha'Mikdash.
