Radak: It is due to the idols that Bavel worshipped; they thought that their success is due to serving them. Malbim - now [that Bavel will fall], all will recognize (a) that Hashem created all that exists, and (b) His Hashgachah, which is evident through rain, and (c) idolatry is impotent.
