1)

Will they eat only your bread?

1.

Radak: This includes all food.

2)

Will the enemy eat Yisrael's children?

1.

Radak: This 'Achilah' is killing via the sword.

2.

Malbim: They will eat the harvest and bread designated for Yisrael's children.

3)

Will they consume the sons and daughters, but not the parents?

1.

Radak: They will kill also the parents. The Torah says "v'Achalta Pri Vitnecha" (Devarim 28:53), for this is a great pain. Fathers see their children slaughtered in front of their eyes. The minors die due to their fathers' sins!

4)

Why does it mention flock and cattle between "Ketzircha v'Lachmecha" and "Gafnecha u'Se'enasecha"?

1.

Malbim: Ketzircha v'Lachmecha were for your children to eat. Flock and cattle you would not have eaten; the enemy eats them. Gafnecha u'Se'enasecha refer to the vines [and trees] themselves - the enemy will destroy them.

5)

Why does it say "Yeroshesh Arei Mivtzarecha"?

1.

Rashi: The words must be rearranged. It will impoverish with its sword the fortified cities in which you trust.

2.

Radak: "Yeroshesh" is making Rash (poor). This applies also to destroying cities - "Edom Rushashnu v'Nashuv v'Nivneh Charavos" (Mal'achi 1:4).

3.

Malbim: You will be hungry.

6)

Why does it say "be'Charev"?

1.

Rashi: Via troops. This is like "v'Cherev Lo Sa'avor b'Artzechem" (Vayikra 26:6).

2.

Radak #1: [You rely on them] at the time of the sword (war).

3.

Radak #2: The sword will consume your sons and daughters.
