Why did he say "Shivisi Ad Boker [ka'Ari]"?
Rashi: I set myself to endure the illness the entire night; I overpowered like a lion to bear it.
Radak: Shivisi is like Samti. When I saw at night that I did not yet die, I put my time [that I expected to live] until morning.
Malbim: I made myself like a lion to overpower the illness.
Why did he say "Ken Yeshaber Kol Atzmosai"?
Rashi: This is like "Ken Yirbeh v'Chen Yifrotz" (Shemos 1:12) - the more that I overpower [to bear it], so the illness gets stronger to break all my bones.
Radak #1: The night strengthened my illness until it broke all my bones, like a lion breaks bones of an animal that it tears with its mouth.
Radak #2: Some say that this is shattering of bones, due to the inflammation.
Malbim: [I made myself like a lion to overpower the illness, and this caused a fever; the heat was like a lion] that breaks all my bones.
Verse 12 said "mi'Yom v'Ad Laylah Tashlimeni." Why does our verse repeat it?
Radak: [Now it means that] my life will finish before the end of the night, i.e. morning. (Above it meant that my life will finish before night comes.)
Malbim: Above it meant that the illness will finish [the garment, i.e. kill me] before night. Now it means that the fever will finish it before night.
