They swore "Ish Mimenu" will not give to his daughter. Did it apply even to men who were not there at the time?
Radak (22, citing Ta'anis 30b): Indeed, later Chachamim 1 permitted the Shevatim to marry Binyamin, because the Shevu'ah was limited to the men who swore. 2
Refer to 21:8:1:1.
Radak: They also expounded that if Binyamin would be Oleh (excluded from) the Shevatim, Hashem would not have told Yakov "u'Melachim me'Chalatzecha Yetze'u" (Bereishis 35:11). This refers only to Binyamin, who was not born yet. They said, since kings will come from Binyamin, and did not yet, we must draw them close.
Had they realized this at the time, they would not have been so worried. Surely not all men came, e.g. youths below 20 or men too old to fight. Their daughters are (or will be) permitted to Binyamin! (PF)
