Why does it say that Hashem took us out of Egypt with great power?

Malbim: He took us out with supernatural power and distinguished us from all nations. We are not under any Mazal - 'Hashem Badad Yanchenu v'Ein Imo El Nechar" (Devarim 32:12). It is proper that we serve and fear only Him!
