What is "Lechumlah"?
Rashi: It is to have mercy on.
Malbim (according to the Nimshal): Her father was not Chas on her amidst his need to establish his seed and beautiful, and it is improper to destroy it ? "Chamal ha'Am Al Meitav ha'Tzon" (Shmuel I, 15:15), in order to offer them to Hashem. Hashem will not be Chomel, for the ways of your Nefesh are not beautiful ? they are corrupt! "Mashchasam Bahem Mum Bam Lo Yeratzu" (Vayikra 22:25). I will not be Chas due to benefit that I get from you, for "your abominations are in you." All are evil ? no need or benefit can come from you.
Why does it say "El Pnei"?
Radak: This is like Al Pnei. There are many verses like this.
Why does it say "va'Tushlechi El Pnei ha'Sadeh? b'Yom Huledes Osach"?
Rashi (9, citing Targum Yonasan): Pharaoh decreed to throw your male [babies] to the river, to destroy you while you were in Egypt.
Malbim: Immediately, on the day of birth, you were cast out amidst repulsion.
Malbim (according to the Nimshal): You were cast from your land to the field of Egypt, and there they made you work all harsh labors in the field.
What is "b'Go'el"?
Rashi: It is repulsion. Radak ? the blood of birth is repulsive.
What is "Nafshech"?
Radak: It is your body. This is like "Barzel Ba'ah Nafsho" (Tehilim 105:18).
