What is the meaning of "Ah Kol Sefayim Midbar"?
Radak: Midbar is a place to graze animals. Sefayim are high places, e.g. mountains and hills. Also there, which is from 1 the settled places, plunderers came.
Malbim: Even there, where no people live, plunderers will come to search if fleers are hiding there.
I would have thought that it should say far from the settled places, but I did not find any such text. (PF)
What is the meaning of "Cherev la'Shem Ochlah"?
Radak: This is like Ocheles. Either form may be used; we find "Esh Ochlah" (Devarim 4:24); usually it says Ocheles. Killing is consumption of the sword, like "v'Charbi Tochal Basar" (Devarim 32:42), "cha'Zo vecha'Zeh Tochal ha'Cherev" (Shmuel II, 11:25). It is la'Shem, for He aroused Nebuchadnetzar's sword.
Malbim: There will be no place to hide.
What is "mi'Ketzei Aretz v'Ad Ketzei Aretz"?
Radak: [Desolation] will be also in other places, for Nebuchadnetzar stretched his hand on all of them. The Navi prophesized about one of them before the punishment came.
Why does it say "Ein Shalom l'Chol Basar"?
Radak: Nebuchadnetzar will destroy also other places.
Malbim: There will be no remnant.
