***************GIRSA SECTION********************

We recommend using the textual changes suggested by the Bach and the marginal notes of the Vilna Shas. This section is devoted to any OTHER important corrections that Acharonim have pointed out in the Gemara, Rashi and Tosfos

5)[line 44] NIGMEMU KOSLEI BEIS HARECHEM- (a) the entire inner surface of the womb was removed (RASHI, 1st explanation); (b) the inner surface of the womb was removed, except for the outer border (see RASHI, 2nd explanation)

7)[line 14]" [ ; ]""V'CHOL HOLECH AL KAPAV B'CHOL HA'CHAYAH HA'HOLECHES [AL ARBA TEME'IM HEM LACHEM; KOL HA'NOGE'A B'NIVLASAM YITMA AD HA'AREV]"- "And every [animal] that walks on its paws of those animals that walk [on four legs are Teme'im for you; one who comes into contact with their carcasses shall be Tamei until nightfall]" (Vayikra 11:27).

8)[line 16]KALUT- an animal the hooves of which are not split [that is found in its mother's womb]

9)[line 18] MEHALCHEI ARBA- four-legged animals that do not have split hooves

10)[line 20] MEHALCHEI SHEMONEH- four-legged animals with split (double) hooves
