What is the tense of "Zechor"?

1.

Ibn Ezra #1: It is Makor (infinitive), like "ki'Zkor Bneihem" (Yirmeyah 17:2). He always remembers the enemy's affliction - La'anah and Rosh in place of bread.

2.

Ibn Ezra #2: It is a request to Hashem. Palgei Mayim - I requests that my afflictions and regret over my rebellion be a merit.

2)

What is "Merudi"?

1.

Rashi: My wailing.

2.

Ri Kara: This is like "Aniyim Merudim Tavi Vayis" (Yeshayah 58:7; people who lost their property).

3.

Palgei Mayim: My rebellion against Hashem.

3)

What does the verse say about "La'anah va'Rosh"?

1.

Rav Sadya Gaon: [My affliction and wailing] is bitter like La'anah 1 . Ri Kara - in spite of all the reasons to despair (refer to 3:18:3:2), I scream to Hashem to remember my bitter affliction.

1

Palgei Mayim: La'anah is a drink, and Rosh is a food. Rashi (Devarim 29:17) - both of them are plants. ("Hirvani La'anah" (15) implies that La'anah is a drink! Eichah Rabah (3:19) and the Targum here imply that both Rosh and La'anah are drinks. Perhaps drinks are made from them. - PF)
