How does laziness bring sleep?

1.

Rashi: This is a metaphor. The Mashal is about one who is lazy about his learning. In the end, they ask him a matter of Chachmah, and he falls asleep.

R. Yonah: Aside from the damage in laziness that he delays beginning the act, also during the action - one who is zealous and careful, in one hour he does more than an Atzel in two hours. Also, desire for work arouses man's heart to it. An Atzel, who has no desire for it, his laziness begets sleep. Therefore he will not succeed in his work; it will not save him from poverty.

Orchos Tzadikim (Sha'ar ha'Atzlus DH Ken): It brings sleep to his nature. This is like it says "Me'at Shenos Me'at Tenumos Me'at Chibuk Yadayim Lishkav" (6:10).

Malbim: Several times the Sefer praised diligence. Opposite this, it scorns laziness and guile. Here it teaches that guile is worse than laziness. 2.

R. Yonah #1: Also among Zerizim who exert to become rich, there is a Midah that makes one poor. Laziness and deception are two Midos that impoverish people. Also above, Shlomo mentioned these two Midos near each other - "Rash Oseh Chaf Remiyah;
