Why does it say that He gives salvation of kings?

1.

Rashi: This refers to Sela ha'Machlekos. Sha'ul was about to seize David, and a Mal'ach 1 told Sha'ul "quickly, go [to fight Pelishtim, who spread over the land" (Shmuel I, 23:27). Hashem saved Sha'ul from spilling innocent blood, and David from being killed.

2.

Radak: Even though they are kings, they need salvation.

3.

Malbim: I will sing to You for the general salvation that You give to kings, and for the particular salvation that You did for me.
