QUESTIONS ON RASHI

3)

Rashi writes that he measured the thickness of the walls on the right and left. He explained that the previous verse discussed this. Why does our verse repeat that he measured it?!

1.

Malbim: First he saw him measure the interior of the cell by the gate ? if was one Kaneh square. Then he measured the thickness of the wall between cells ? it was five Amos. Then he entered the gate to measure the Ulam. (a) First he measured the thickness of the wall of the Ulam on both sides. (b) Then he measured Ulam ha'Sha'ar, i.e. the length of the wall from west to east. He began measuring this meha'Bayis, for when he measured by Saf ha'Ulam on the inside, this was from west to east. The Ulam extended six Amos. Also refer to 40:9:4:1.
