Radak: A shepherd grazes the flock until the afternoon, and in the afternoon he lies them down ? "Eichah Sir'eh Eichah Tarbitz ba'Tzaharayim" (Shir ha'Shirim 1:7).

Malbim: Do not think that they will be without a shepherd ? I will oversee them at the time of grazing during the day, and lying down at night, like [Yakov did -] "Hayisi va'Yom Achalni Chorev v'Kerach ba'Laylah" (Bereishis 31:40).
