What is "va'Hashimosi"?

Rashi: It is an expression of astonishment. Radak ? this is like "Ka'asher Shamemu Alecha Rabim" (Yeshayah 52:14).

Why does it say "Yisa'aru Alecha Sa'ar"?

Radak: The gerund is mentioned with the verb, to strengthen the matter, like "va'Yatzam David Tzom" (Shmuel II, 12:16).

Malbim: This is not inner anger in the heart, rather, rage and astonishment.

What is the meaning of "b'Ofefei Charbi Al Pneihem"?

Rashi: This is an expression of an Ohf (bird) flying, when I will send My messengers via their land.

Radak #1: When I shine and make it glow in front of them, to scare them and inform them that it will kill them. "B'Ofefei" is brightness and shining, like "Ta'ufah ka'Boker Tihyeh" (Iyov 11:17).

Radak #2: "B'Ofefei" is an expression of movement - when I will move them. It is close to flying. Chazal said (Shabbos 26a) that one may not light with Tzari (balsam sap), for it is Af. I.e. it jumps and moves to and fro from the lamp.

Radak citing Targum Yonasan: When I bring upon you those who kill with the sword.

Malbim: My sword, i.e. Melech Bavel, will fly on their faces

What is the meaning of "v'Charedu li'Rga'im"?

Rashi, Targum Yonasan: They will be terrified over the breakage, lest it occur also to them. Radak ? this is like "Roga ha'Yam" (Yeshayah 51:15).

Rashi, from Menachem: Li'Rga'im is an expression of Rega (Radak, Malbim - every moment they will be terrified).

What do we learn from "Ish l'Nafsho"?
