How will the ruins be built?

1.

Radak: Yisrael will build Eilei ha'Tzedek. It says "Charvos Olam", for they were destroyed for a long time.

2.

Malbim: It is as if from the trees and branches of Tzedek, they will build the old ruins.

2)

What are "Shomemos Rishonim"?

1.

Radak: They were desolate from early generations; they will raise them.

2.

Malbim: They were totally desolate, more than Charvos.

3)

Why does it say "v'Chideshu Arei Chorev"?

1.

Radak: They will renew (rebuild) cities that were destroyed. The matter is repeated in different words.

2.

Malbim: They will not merely fix the ruins, like one fixes an old house. They will build new buildings, and it will not be recognized that they were ever destroyed.

4)

What are "Shomemos Dor va'Dor"?

1.

Malbim: They are desolations that occurred in every generation. This is a metaphor for fixing ruins of Emunos and mindsets. The false Emunos, both of old and that arose in the course of time. The Eilei Tzedek of Hashem's planting will fix them. They will teach His ways, Chukim Toros and Mishpatim.'
