Why does it say "Lachen Achalek Lo va'Rabim"?

Radak citing Sotah 14a: This refers to Moshe - his portion is among the great Tzadikim.

2.

Rashi: Because he did this, I will apportion to him an inheritance and lot b'Rabim, with the first Avos.

Radak: Gog and Magog and the nations who will come with him to Yerushalayim will be numerous and awesome - "v'Asaf Cheil Kol ha'Goyim Saviv Zahav va'Chesef u'Vegadim la'Rov" (Zecharyah 14:14).

Malbim: Because he was happily Moser Nefesh for Kedushas ha'Shem, and his Nefesh was satiated with his Emunah, he made many virtuous and bore the generation's sin - I will apportion to him a reward in the world to come equal to that of many Tzadikim.

Why does it say "v'Es Atzumim Yechalek Shalal"?

1.

Sotah 14a: Do not say that Moshe's portion is among the later Tzadikim, but not like the early ones. It is with Avraham, Yitzchak and Yakov, who were awesome in Torah and Mitzvos.

What is the meaning of "He'erah la'Maves Nafsho"?

1.

Radak citing Sotah 14a: Moshe gave himself over to die - "if not (You will not forgive them), blot me out."

2.

Rashi: This is [pouring,] like "va'Te'ar Kadah" (Bereishis 24:20).

Radak: [All this honor is his reward] for handing himself over to the Nochrim in Galus. He will get their (Gog's camp) money, in place of his money that they took, and they will die for having killed him.

Why is he counted with sinners?

1.

Radak citing Sotah 14a: He is counted among those who died in the Midbar.

2.

Rashi: He suffered affliction as if he sinned. He bore the sin of the Rabim for the sake of others.

Radak: This is like I explained "va'Yiten Es Resha'im Kivro" (refer to 53:9:1:2).

Why does it say "v'Hu Chet Rabim Nasa"?

1.

Radak citing Sotah 14a: He atoned for Chet ha'Egel.

2.

Radak #1: This discusses Galus. The sin of many who sinned against him, and he bore and suffered their pain. This is like "v'Chatas Amecha" (Shemos 5:16).

3.

Radak #2: This discusses the time of Ge'ulah. It is like "va'Avonoseihem Hu Yisbol" (refer to 53:11:3:2).

How does he request for the sinners?

1.

Radak citing Sotah 14a: He requested mercy for the sinners of Yisrael [that they should repent]. Mafgi'a refers to prayer - "do not pray for the nation... v'Al Tifga Bi."

2.

Rashi: Through [his] afflictions. Via him, good came to the world.

3.

Radak: Even though [they afflicted him so much], he requests from Hashem 1 to bless their land - "v'Dirshu Es Shalom ha'Ir Asher Higleisi Eschem Shamah
