How did they forget Hashem?

1.

Rashi: They did not rely on him.

2.

Radak, Malbim: They forgot that He can save. They should have realized, since He creates the world, He has power to save from people! How did you fear people, and not remember Kel to repent to Him, and ask Him to save you?!

3.

R. Yonah (Mishlei 3:26): Fearing man is forgetting Hashem. When you saw the affliction close, you should have realized that so happened many times, and Hashem saved you!

2)

What is the meaning of "Ka'asher Konen [Lehashchis]"?

1.

Rashi: When it is prepared for him.

2.

Radak: Why do you fear him? Repent to Hashem and do not fear him!

3)

Why does it say "v'Ayeh Chamas ha'Metzik"?

1.

Rashi: Tomorrow will come, and it will not be.

2.

Radak: A man, if his anger rises, and he prepares to destroy, he will not succeed to do, like Sancheriv. Where is his anger? It went away, like a cloud!

3.

Malbim: Chemah is anger hidden in the heart; it did not come from potential to deed. You already feared his anger before it was revealed. When he planned to destroy, you feared him as if he already totally destroyed. You should have thought, where is his anger? It is hidden in his heart; it is far from coming to deed. Why did you fear?!
