How will Chayos honor Hashem?

1.

Rashi: Chayas ha'Sadeh is a place that was destroyed, and it was a habitat for Chayas ha'Sadeh, Tanim and ostriches.

2.

Radak: This is a metaphor, like "Oh Si'ach la'Aretz v'Soreka" (Iyov 12:8). "Yesusum Midbar v'Tziyah" (above, 35:1). When there is water in a dry place, it is as if the Midbar rejoices, and all the more so the Chayos rejoice from water. It is as if you honor Me with your praise.

3.

Malbim: Yes, for they recognize the attribute (that he will make a path in the Midbar). They will not praise Him for this, since it does not benefit them. Also the water, animals that live in dry places do not need it. The miracle is for Yisrael; even so, Chayos will honor Hashem, and even though they were not created for this.

2)

Does this literally mean that He will put water in the Midbar?

1.

Rashi: No. Rather, I will put settlement in a destroyed land.

3)

Why are Yisrael called "Bechiri"?

1.

Radak: I chose them from the other nations.
