What is "Medushasi u'Ven Garni"?

1.

Rashi: My Kadosh grain - my pile of wheat that I was commanded via Ru'ach ha'Kodesh to fix you in the straight path, like a man who threshes and winnows grain in the granary.

2.

Radak: The Navi speaks in the name of Kel. Bavel is my threshing - I thresh them with the army of Paras and Madai, like one threshes grain. "U'Ven Garni" repeats the matter in different words. Grain and straw are called Ben Goren, for they are threshed in the granary.

3.

Malbim: This refers to Yeshayah's Nevu'ah for Bavel above (Perakim 13-14), i.e. Hashem's threshing and destruction of it. There it tells how Paras and Madai will destroy Bavel. Here it tells only how it will begin, via the rebellion of the king's servants.

2)

Why does it say "Asher Shamati"?

1.

Radak: I told to you like I heard it 1 .

2.

Malbim: I heard this and told it to you a long time ago.

1

Normally, Nevi'im had a vision from Hashem, and expressed it in their own words. (PF)

3)

Why does it say "Elokei Yisrael"?

1.

Radak: Kel will bring the punishment on Bavel due to Yisrael.
