Rashi: The forms of Keruvim, date trees, ropes and flowers were carved into them.

Verse 18 already mentioned designs on the walls. Why was this repeated here?

Malbim: It teaches that because there were Keruvim inside, there were Keruvim on the walls 1 .

Here it mentions date trees, even though they were not mentioned above, and they were not inside! (PF)

Verse 18 mentioned only the forms of ropes and flowers, but not Keruvim. Why does it add here the forms of Keruvim?

Malbim (Divrei ha'Yamim II, 3:5): Verse 18 discusses the floor. Our verse discusses the walls; only they had Keruvim. Also the floor had forms of date trees; they are included in "Peturei Tzitzim."
