1.

Rashi: This is like Chaninah (grace). Ibn Ezra - He had grace on us.

Malbim: This was grace not based on merit and Din. It was only for a moment, for four benefits. (a) "Lehash'ir Lanu Peleitah" - lest we be eradicated in Galus. (b) Refer to 9:8:3:2. (c) "Leha'ir Einenu Elokeinu" - we will return to go in His ways; this will finish off the punishment decreed on us. (d) Refer to 9:8:4:2.

3)

What do we learn from "v'Lases Lanu Yased"?

Rashi: To fix us in Eretz Yisrael. Yased is like "u'Skativ Yased b'Makom Ne'eman."

2.

Malbim: We can build the Beis ha'Mikdash and fix our return in Eretz Yisrael.

4)

Ibn Ezra: We are slaves. Malbim - this is because the Ketz of the true Ge'ulah did not come, like the angel told Daniel.
