What do they not know and understand?
Rashi: The judges who pervert Mishpat do not know that due to this sin, they will go in darkness, and all foundations of the world will falter.
Radak: The judges pervert Mishpat as if they do not know the law.
Malbim: Regarding oppression, they pretend not to know the injustice that was done. Regarding litigants who come for judgment, they do not understand to judge correctly; via this, they go in darkness.
Why does it say that they go in darkness?

Radak: Bribes blind them.
Malbim: Refer to 82:5:1:3. Mishpat is the light of the world and the foundation of the land. Due to lack of Mishpat, they go in darkness and all foundations of the world falter. Mishpat strengthens settlement of the land in two ways. (a) From Divine bestowal - if there is no Din below, He withholds His light and influence from above, and they go in darkness. (b) Based on nature - if there is no Din, a man will swallow his colleague alive, and civil society cannot last.
