Here it discusses being cast out of the land. In Melachim I, 9:7 Why does it say "v'Hichrati"?
Malbim: (a) There (verse 6), says "you (Shlomo) and your sons." Here it discusses only Shlomo 1 . (b) There, it says "Shov Teshuvun"; the Makor (infinitive) before the conjugation shows that it is done constantly.
What is the meaning of "Ashlich"?
Malbim: I will not supervise it via putting My Shechinah in it, even though I will not send it away, just it will be cast down from Shamayim to the land.
Regarding "Hishlich mi'Shamayim Eretz" (Eichah 2:1), Binah l'Itim (Drush 49) says that Yerushalayim below is opposite Yerushalayim above. The Churban was feasible only after Hashem cast away Yerushalayim above. (One can explain our verse similarly ? PF.)
Why will Hashem cast off the Bayis?
'Rashi': There was a condition ? "v'Im Lo Sishme'u Li? va'Hashimosi Es Mikdesheichem" (Vayikra 26:14, 31).
What is "l'Mashal"?
'Rashi': This is like people make metaphors about one who suffered a misfortune.
What is "li'Shninah"?
'Rashi', Rashi Melachim I, 9:7: This is like "v'Shinantam l'Vanecha" (Devarim 6:7; the Targum is) telling. I.e. they will discuss evils that befell it 1 , and mock it. The Targum of "va'Ysaper" (Bereishis 24:66) is v'Ishta'ei, (similar to the Targum of li'Shninah) ul'Shu'ei.
Here it says that the Bayis will be l'Mashal veli'Shninah. In Melachim, it says so about Am Yisrael. (PF)
