What are the ramifications of the Pasuk telling us that "the water was turbulent... for (until) a hundred and fifty days"?

1.

Seforno: From the time the Flood began (on the seventeenth of the second month) until the seventeenth of the seventh month (a hundred and fifty days, 1 ) the turbulence of the water caused the Ark to rise, 2 until it was higher than the tallest mountain, when it began to move. On that day, the turbulence ceased and the Ark rested on Mount Ararat.

1

Rashi counts these 150 days differently; refer to 8:3:2:1.

2

Refer to 7:18:1:3*.
