What are Nevi'im?
Rashi: Speakers - this is like "Borei Niv Sefasayim."
Malbim: They are prophets. Sanvalat and Toviyah hired Shemayah, a false Navi (12), to prophesize that there will be a king in Yerushalayim, and Nechemyah will be the king, and so he told Nechemyah. This is not rebellion - perhaps Melech Paras will permit! However - refer to 6:7:3:2.
Why did he say "v'Atah Yishama la'Melech"?
Rashi: Now that you are called king, the king will hear such matters.
Malbim: Sanvalat hired false Nevi'im to say, when needed, that Nechemyah hired them to prophesize that he will be king. The king will hear, and assume that also building the wall is rebellion!
