Targum Yonasan: It is the head of a donkey. Radak - due to the hunger, people were eating Tamei animals. Malbim - this was during the seven years of hunger in the days of Elisha (8:1).

2.

Radak: This is difficult.

What is "Divyonim"?

1.

Rashi: It is excrement that flows from Yonim (doves). Radak - the Targum of Ziv (a flow) is Div. They would burn it, for they did not have wood, due to the siege. They could not leave the city to chop wood in the forest.

2.

Radak citing his father: It is what is in the crop (stomach) of doves. Doves ate grain and entered the city, and people ate what was in their crop due to the hunger. 1

I.e. they were able to extract the food from the crop without killing the bird, so it could go find more food. If this was after Shechitah, why would they sell this part of the bird by itself? (PF)

3)

Why is it written Chiryonim, and we pronounce it Divyonim?

1.

Radak: The writing alludes to what leaves the opening (anus) of doves. The pronunciation is a cleaner expression (refer to 6:25:2:1).
