Why does it say "Ki Yehudah Gavar b'Echav"?

1.

'Rashi': It says "Gur Aryeh Yehudah."

2.

Radak: Refer to 5:2:2:1.

3.

Malbim: Gavar applies to what came before, and also after. He overpowered Yosef, to become the Nagid. Also refer to 5:2:2:3.

2)

What do we learn from "ul'Nagid Mimenu"?

1.

'Rashi': Kingship came from him. A king is called Nagid, for he takes out and brings in. Bechorah and kingship were taken from Reuven. Kingship was given to Yehudah, and [the extra portion of] Bechorah to Yosef, to his two sons.

2.

Radak: Yakov said that the one who will be Nagid (ruler) in Yisrael will be from Yehudah.

3.

Malbim: The prefix Lamed in ul'Nagid means that regarding kingship, he overpowered. Only Bechorah remained with Yosef.
