Sifra: "Adam" refers to a Meis, "be'Tum'as Adam, to a Tamei Meis and "le'Chol Tum'aso asher Yitma", to a Bo'el Nidah. 1

Why does the Torah repeat the phrase ve'Ne'elam mimenu"?

Rashi #1: To teach us that he initially knew that he was Tamei (and that he was eating Kodesh or entering the Mikdash) and then forgot. 1

Rashi #2 (in Shabbos, 2b): One refers to someone who forgot that he is Tamei, the other, to someone who forgot that. 2 he is in the Beis-ha'Mikdash. 3
